Mistakenly complained to a new 'friend' of mine about Nycon (who's absolutely perfect in every way (^^;;) ). He proceeded to tell me that Nycon wasn't worth it, that he controls my every move, and he treats me like dirt, and I deserve much better. I guess they didn't take the hint when I removed them from my Facebook friend list and blocked them. I waited for them to log on to blist them in game.

For anyone reading this on Quetzalcoatl, this is Parnthelegend who jumped server and came back with a new name. He and his significant other are total freaks who think that after six days, I would much rather sabotage a two year relationship with a six day friendship.


Not really sure what the hell is going on with pullers nowadays. I have the cutest pull macro with a pleasant «call11» macro and a cute little ゆ. However, as of late, many pullers think that they don't need to warn the party that a mob is coming. They also don't need to have a brain when doing asinine things like instead of saying BRB, just resting after a fight.

Party set up was SAM SAM DRG WHM SCH RNG. WHM constantly pulled hate with Curaga (1). Can't do much with no spells and an Amnesia'd Provoke!

A few days ago, I was helping someone skill up their GK up on the top floor of Oztroja. The Yagudo used Parry, so I dispelled it. Instead, I dispelled Protect. I dispelled again, and took off Shell, and then finally, Parry.



Uhh... what mobs pop up there that can cast protect and shell? I thought only NIN, BRD, BLM, and MNK were the only Yagudos up here?

As I approach the 70s with my SAM, I've got a bunch of questions about which gear to wear. Wiki tells me not to use Dusk Gloves, but for some reason I don't think that's right. Of course Nycon is helping me, but I would like some second opinions.

Dynamis gear is out of the question because I really hate it. Maybe one day, I'll low-man it, but for now, I will have to pass on AF2, unfortunately.

My weapon is a Daihannya. I have a Hagun waiting for me, so I know I'm good in that department. I also use a Pole Grip (+2% Double Attack). I also have a Calamar for Polearm.
Pulling weapons don't matter, but I have one.

For my head, I use Sipahi Turban. I also have Askar at 75, and Myochin Kabuto for Meditate/Warding Circle.

Neck is Chivalrous Chain. I used to use Peacock Charm but it seems that my accuracy is only subpar when I use a Polearm.

Two Coral Earrings for TP, and I switch one into a Cassie to WS. No Fowling Earrings in stock, so I just have to wait.

Haubergeon for my body. I do not have Askar body. I do have Kirin's Osode somewhere.

Custom F Gloves for gloves. I have Askar gloves. I'll get Dusk Gloves soon.

My 1 Puissance Ring will be traded out for 1 Ruby Ring at 72, but I'll still keep my Sniper's.

Amemet Mantle will be traded for a Forager's Mantle. Should I get a Cerb Mantle?

I use Headlong Belt because I hate camping NMs. If accuracy is an issue, I use Life Belt, and for Weaponskills I use Royal Knight's Belt. Then I'll switch to Warwolf Belt.

Shinimusha Haidate for TPing in, and Myochin Haidate for WS. I don't have a Byakko's Haidate.

Sarutobi Kyahan --- this is where a big fight starts. I don't feel I need Fuma Sute-Ate because Agility won't help me, and they give equal amounts of Haste. If I take hate, I can use Third Eye or Utsu. I'm not sure if it's worth mentioning I have Suzaku's Sune-Ate. I also have Askar feet for 75.

Ding! Hit 60 Samurai last night. I also got Tachi:Koki and some advice from Sensesfail on how to gear SAM. I had to wait until JP midnight to get my helm, but I got it this morning (after donating blood).

I also fixed that glitch (I hope) by checking the files. It removed all my custom .dats but I have them backed up on my computer

I've got a stuffed inventory, so right now I'm trying to use up my Synthesis Materials.

I told Nycon not to get me anything for Valentine's Day, but he made me a signed Holy Maul, and camped a Sahagin NM and got me a Calamar. ♥

Samurai's fun. Camped Mee Deggi a few times and joyously got Impact Knuckles, however, I camped Quu Domi and I'm 1/1. I'm 52SAM as of today, and luckily I haven't gotten any really nasty parties.




Hume F hold daggers so stupidly.

There is a character named Ducc who was in my party on Sunday night. He was ok, but wouldn't take any advice. He "dances" all the time for money (dancing was funny when it first came out), and liked to use Raiden Thrust even though we (new recruit Mathai and his ladyfriend Kaehlan) kept telling him to use Double Thrust, but I guess he was too much of an idiot to listen. However, the WAR tank was really good (I forgot his name, unfortunately), and he said he was going to take up PLD. It's nice to see people take the game seriously and voke the mob as it is coming to camp instead of letting me get whacked a few times.

Fortunately, Sensesfail is a 75SAM so if I have any SAM specific questions, I can always go to him. Nycon and I will be sharing the Shinimusha Haidate (TP+6 Samurai Pants). If he ever chooses to level SAM, I always have DRG on the backburner, so it's all right.

Now that I'm looking at these screenshots, they look a bit jaggedy.

Maybe it's because I am an adult and I can't deal with frivolous things anymore, but I think that the Linkshell Community Website is not very user-friendly. I only log in once every three months and I can never remember how to do anything except view the Linkshell that I most likely am not in anymore.

Nycon finally convinced me to come back about 2 months ago. So I'll backdate a few entries.
